Our Finance team has one of the broadest perspectives in the business – touching every part of Tesco PLC. We have a huge variety of departments from Tax and Treasury to core Retail Finance. The size and reach of our business, not to mention our focus on value for customers, means it's vital for us to have exceptional financial management and planning strategies. The skills and knowledge of the people who work in Finance are key to serving Britain’s shoppers a little better every day.

Finance is at the heart of our business, offering a huge variety of roles and specialisms. Below are the key areas within our function:

  • Audit
  • Investor Relations
  • Tax
  • Treasury
  • UK Finance (including Retail, Telecoms, Customer, Food, General Merchandise and Finance Planning & Analysis)
  • Group Reporting and Control
  • Group Capital
  • Operations and Treasury

 

The programme will be based in Hertfordshire. 

Finance is at the heart of Tesco, and there are opportunities available throughout the group, whether this is international markets, associated businesses or our specialist finance teams. For example: 

You could join our team of Auditors in providing independent assurance, insight and advice to the Board and Management or work with our Property experts in ensuring that money is spent wisely on the investments that will benefit the business most.

Or you could work in our Treasury department, developing a global portfolio of Risk exposures and variables for the Tesco group.

No matter what your role, you will have the opportunity to impact our business and make changes for the better.

 

  • You could be working with stores one day, business partnering with food buyers the next and preparing insight used by the Tesco Executive a few months later!
